Electrolytes are usually lost during strenuous physical activity, and this can only be replaced through sports drinks. Carbohydrates, on the other hand, are also needed by the body during rigid workouts to provide more energy so that the body can cope up to the demands of the activity.
2. More Veggies
People who are into sports fitness require more intakes of vegetables and fruits. This is because the body is craving for more vitamins and mineral supplements. It makes the body stronger and healthier enabling it to cope up with demands of the activity.
3. Calcium Intake
People who are into sports fitness should have calcium present on their diet. This is to provide stronger bones to the body.
Since the body is more exposed to greater physical activities, it is important to have stronger bones in order to avoid fractures or certain bone diseases like osteoporosis.
Calcium can be found in different vitamin and mineral supplements. They are also abundant in foods like sardines, tofu, dairy products, etc.
4. Warm Exercises
Warm exercises are always important before any kind of strenuous activities. This kind of activity is needed in order not to strain the body. Hence, before playing the sports that you have always love, it is best to do some warm-up exercises first.
Indeed, engaging into sports activities is one great way of being physically fit. The best thing about it is that in sports, you get to enjoy the best of both worlds.

Hello, I looked over your essay and made some changes. When writing essays keep in mind that there is a difference when speaking and writing, even when they are reflective papers. I also added transition words to your work which adds thought and helps your sentences flow. Also a small note on grammar, always spell out full words in your writing, ie: use "do not" not "don't". Let me know if you have any questions and of course everyone has different writing styles so you are more than welcome to veto any of my suggestions.
Adrenaline is pumping through my veins. My entire being is mixed with fear and anticipation. I am torn whether to forfeit with the risk of being mocked, or move forward and stay in the fight. Before I am given the opportunity to weigh the pros and cons of my options, I am face up on hot black pavement with all of my third grade class standing around me; one boy is actually poking me to see if I am alive. At that very moment my only concern is to catch my breath from the fall. This is the day I surrendered to dodge ball and accepted the fact that I am not physically or mentally able to participate in any sport involving balls or violent third graders.
Throughout middle school and high school I dreaded Physical Education class as I discovered that people’s competitiveness and violence become further enraged as they get older. In Texas sports and competitiveness has become a way of everyday life. Children today are conditioned to succeed not for educational scholarships but for football or basketball scholarships. They no longer see the sport as fun, nor do they see working out invigorating. Now they see it as a job.
At nineteen I have yet to be involved in any sport related activity and I am proud of it. For the most part, I am healthy. I enjoy my vegetables and am a firm believer in trying everything once. I get at least seven hours a sleep a night and most of all; my body parts are completely intact. Scraping by for a good ten years standing behind the bleachers saved me a lot of sprains I’m sure, but I am now seeing my body becoming… womanlier, to say the least.
Unfortunately, competition, constant comparing, and pressure are not my thing. Any sport with a team name, count me out. However, I have learned though that regularly exercising is crucial for your mind as well as your body. I do admit, sports is a far better option than if the latter is sitting on your bottom all day clicking around on the computer or channel surfing. One of my personal favorite movies, Wall-e reveals the other extreme chosen by society: doing absolutely nothing.
I have found a happy balance to keep me healthy both inside and out. Yoga helps create unity between body, mind, and spirit. My body is balanced, my mind is quiet, and my spirit is at peace. When I first began, I lost my balance many times and I did get frustrated occasionally. Yet, once I realized I was putting pressure on myself and relaxed, it became easier and soon it was a part of my weekly schedule. Many times, when I am stressed, I find my mind at ease by the end of the hour and sense of vigor I did not have walking in. The room may have a faint scent of freshly released souls, but it’s not quite the same as a men’s locker room. If only it was mandatory for every high school football player to take yoga. Hopefully, they would realize how much more there is to exercising and fitness besides excellent performances or being the strongest (all the while realizing the class is full of flexible, stable minded, and confident women).
